Baby's 1st Halloween

Look at the cutest little watermelon in the patch!  When I bought this costume a few months back, I knew it was cute, but when I put it on her this morning for her daycare Halloween party, I lost it!  How adorable is this little melon?
Like all of the clothes Kenzie grows out of, it was sad to retire this perfect little produce only after a days wear.

The rest of the night was filled with other produce fun. Although Kenzie wasn't a fan of the drill Donny used to cut into the monster pumpkin, she did have a good time playing eating with the goo inside!

9 Months Old

Lookie who is 9 months old today.  There is a lot to take in from these pictures.
Number 1:  Winter is quickly approaching so we had to do an indoor shoot...which is not as fun!
Number 2:  Kenzie does NOT sit still for pictures and is actively crawling and climbing.
Number 3:  She realized those numbers on her onsies are actually stickers and can be peeled off.
Number 4:  The bumbo no longer serves its function.

Moma I'm a big girl now

When are babies no longer babies?  I feel like my little baby girl is becoming this smart little lady, all too fast for my liking.  Over the past couple of days I feel like she is just getting and understanding everything.

After months of sweeping and mopping the floors with her military crawl, a few weeks ago she took her first real crawling moves (towards Don's video games) with both knees and hands.  But over the weekend, I guess she realized how much cleaner her clothes were if she stayed up on her hands and knees.  She doesn't move as quickly but man does she look cute scooting around.  She's also pulling herself onto things....and people.  I gotta say I love when she comes crawling at me/all over me, to get as close as possible.

And when do babies kiss you back?  There is no denying that baby Mackenzie has seen her fair share of smooches, so has she caught on already? After picking her up from changing her hiney, I swear she leaned in with those pouty lips to lay one on my cheek.  Now this could be because I frequently give her eskimo kisses, which include this loud,  high pitched, somewhat annoying"dinging" as our noses touch, but lets pretend that she wanted to share the love.  I had one friend tell me that that is the absolute best feeling...when they kiss you back!

I'm also happy to report that we are finally putting our freezer full of homemade baby food to use.  Now that we've got her in her highchair instead of that stupid Bumbo chair, she is eating like a champion.  I don't think there is one food she doesn't like, and she surprisingly likes vegetables more than fruit.  Also, come to find out, she loves Thai curry, just like her mom and dad!

Is Mackenzie signing back?  We started sign language with Mackenzie back when she was 4 or 5 months ago.  And now that she is eating MUCH better really have really been able to put to use "more" "hungry" and "eat."  And although the sign for more looks more like the sign for milk, I want to believe she is really getting it.

Her favorite games include dropping things off of her changing table, to hear mommy say "uh oh."  Crawling towards iPhones, remotes, cords, and anytime of misplaced item that she can find on the rug, including, rocks, lint, and leaves.

6 month photoshoot!

So back at the beginning of August we sadly finished up our "Belly to Baby" package with our amazing photographer Becca.  To say I just threw things together for this would be a complete lie.  BUT as you can see, the majority of the success is because of how photogenic and may I add, how darn cute Kenzie is behind the camera.
So these are some of my favorites, although of the 267 pictures, it was hard to narrow it down.
