Soooo...things are busy in Burch household, hence the lack of any blogging. I have lots of blogging events to do including Christmas, cams 6 months pics, 7months (I should take those huh), our cruise, and Kenzie's birthday, etc. I've been busy finalizing everything with my private practice, teaching TRX workouts 2 nights a week, and starting my Spring teaching at Trocaire!
So lets start with Cam's first solid foods. With Camden, we are starting right out with Baby Led Weaning (BLW). This concept completely skips rice cereal and any other pureed foods. We naturally turned to that after Kenz hated all of the delicious baby foods I made her. So we just hand him the food in a suitably-sized piece and if they like it they eat it and if they don’t they won’t. You don't force anything and baby learns, and is able to control his own intake. No purees, no ice cube trays, no food processor, no potato masher, no baby rice, no weird fruit and veg combos… just the babe eating the food we are eating! So far he has enjoyed avocado, sweet potato, apple, pear, and banana!
